  • If celebratory sprays of Champagne have been par for the course in Formula 1 ( @f1) since the 1950s, those raising a glass throughout racing weekends now also have an alcohol-free option on the menu.

    @french.bloom, the beverage brand launched by @constancejablonski and @maggie_frerejean_taittinger in 2021, on Thursday was named the elite motorsportā€™s official nonalcoholic sparkling wine partner.

    The terms of the decade-long deal, which kick off with the 2025 Italian Grand Prix in Monza running Friday to Sunday, were not disclosed.

    It follows the October acquisition of a minority stake in the brand by LVMH Moƫt Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which earlier this year signed a broadranging 10-year deal with Formula 1.

Italian wine producers use Pope Francis ā€œwine, land, agricultural skills and enterprise are gifts from God.ā€ @teamdb #Alcoholic

Wine producers gathered at the Vatican Apostolic Palace this week for a discussion as part of an initiative called ā€œThe Economy of St. Francis and the World of Italian Wineā€.

Organised by Veronafiere-Vinitaly, the establishment responsible for staging Italyā€™s biggest annual trade show, the private audience with the Pope on 22 January was attended by more than 100 wine producers and trade representatives.

During his welcome address, Pope Francis told guests that ā€œwine, land, agricultural skills and enterprise are gifts from God.ā€

Continuing, he appeared to favour the democratisation of wine, reminding his audience that wine and the produce of the land is for everyone, ā€œnot just for those who have more opportunitiesā€.
